Annelise (Annie) Ewing Goodman, EdD

Annelise (Annie) Ewing Goodman is an Adjunct Instructor in Communication Studies at Creighton University and a passionate advocate for student success and inclusive, technology-enhanced learning. Her academic interests include accessibility for non-traditional students, interpersonal communication, and education technology. Annie holds an EdD in Higher Education Administration from the University of South Dakota, a Master’s in Communication from Illinois State University, and a BA in Communication Studies from Creighton University.

With experience in both academic and professional leadership roles, Annie is known for her empathetic, future-focused approach to mentoring and team development. Colleagues and students alike value her clear communication, collaborative style, and dedication to helping others achieve their goals.

Jennifer Parker, MA

Jennifer Parker teaches courses in leadership, business and professional communication, and public speaking. She holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Communication from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and a Bachelor's degree from Creighton University. A passionate educator and coach, Jennifer previously directed nationally competitive speech teams at Clemson University and Illinois State University.

In addition to her academic work, Jennifer is the owner and director of the Omaha Dance Center and has consulted for forensics teams and leadership camps across the country. As a scholar of interpersonal communication, she has presented award-winning research on gender and mentoring relationships at national and regional conferences. With over 17 years of teaching experience, she brings energy, expertise, and a deep commitment to communication education in both academic and community settings.

John Rumbaugh, MS

John Rumbaugh is a Resident Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Studies at Creighton University, where he teaches courses in business and leadership communication. With a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication from Creighton, John is currently pursuing his Doctor of Education (EdD) in Interdisciplinary Leadership. His teaching and research focus on using improvisational theatre techniques to enhance classroom collaboration, empathy, and communication skills.

Known for his energetic and engaging style, John connects with students through humor, storytelling, and real-world application. Beyond the classroom, he runs ADDvantage Coaching LLC, where he mentors students and professionals, particularly those with ADHD, on leveraging their strengths. With over a decade of experience at Creighton in both teaching and student support roles, John is a dynamic educator who prioritizes empathy, creativity, and student success.
