
Brenda Barraza Lopez, MSN-Ed, BSN, RN, is a nursing faculty
member at the College of Nursing at Creighton University. She earned her Master
of Science in Nursing Education and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Arizona
State University. She maintains an active clinical practice in postpartum
nursing at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, where she provides care to
mothers and newborns during the transition to parenthood. Her professional
interests include maternal-newborn nursing, simulation-based learning,
development of clinical judgment, and culturally responsive teaching
strategies. Barraza Lopez is passionate about preparing the next generation of
nurses to deliver safe, evidence-based, and compassionate care to diverse
patient populations. Through her work as an educator and clinician, she is
dedicated to preparing future nurses to provide compassionate, evidence-based
care and to promoting positive health outcomes for patients and families.
