Jo Anne Genua, PhD, RN, MN, BScN, CCHN-C

Assistant Professor


Dr. Jo Anne Genua is an Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing at Creighton University. Her research interests focus on population health, health promotion and disease prevention. She holds certification in public/community health.

Dr. Genua earned her PhD in Nursing Education in 2019 from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Her doctoral dissertation explored academic integrity and student honesty in reflective journal writing.

Currently, Dr. Genua is enrolled in the Health Equity Research Education Certificate Program (HEREP) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a 12-month program designed to enhance her expertise in community health research.
