Dr. Goessling returned to Creighton University after graduating from the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions in 2001 (PharmD).  She began her pharmacy career working in a small community setting within a local grocery store.  In the heart of an old South Omaha neighborhood, she gained extensive experience serving a largely geriatric population.  After eight years in community practice, she accepted a position as a clinical pharmacist at Offutt Air Force Base.  She spent over seven years working at both the Ehrling Bergquist Outpatient Clinic and Offutt Satellite pharmacies, providing pharmaceutical care to active-duty military, retirees, and their dependent family members.  She has gained knowledge through her unique experiences serving this population.  The fast-paced pharmacies together averaged 6,300 prescriptions weekly.  In addition to collaborating with other healthcare professionals, counseling, and verifying prescriptions, she spent considerable time training and educating pharmacy technicians and fourth-year pharmacy interns.  As a credentialed provider on base, she staffed a pharmacist-run patient care clinic weekly.  Here she performed medication reviews and prescribed maintenance medications to patients with chronic medical conditions. She also lectured monthly to patients recently diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes.

In the Center for Medication Therapy Management (MTM), she works with fourth-year APPE students completing their Medication Therapy Management (MTM) rotations. Creighton's Center for MTM partners with AdhereHealth to conduct telephonic comprehensive medication reviews for Medicare Part D beneficiaries.  Dr. Goessling dedicates all of her time to supervision and instruction within the Center.
