Anne Harty, EdD, RN is an Assistant Professor and Director of the Harper Nursing Scholars Program at Creighton University. Her research interests include nursing leadership, recruitment, and enhancing the student experience. She holds a Doctorate in Education in Interdisciplinary Leadership, an MS in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner), and a BSN, all from Creighton University. Dr. Harty's research focuses on preparing nurses for the evolving healthcare landscape, aiming to translate research into practical strategies for improving nursing education and, ultimately, patient care. Prior to academia, she worked as a genetic research associate, nephrology nurse practitioner, school nurse, and associate director of undergraduate admissions. She was instrumental in passing legislation requiring epinephrine in California public schools and co-created the Equivax vaccine equity model. Dr. Harty received the 2024 Classroom Teaching Excellence Award. Her publications include works on exercise therapy and self-care for nephrology nurses.
