Mallory Kargela, PT, DPT, is an Associate Professor of Physical Therapy at Creighton University's Physical Therapy Department in Phoenix, AZ. Dr. Kargela is a board-certified clinical specialist in cardiovascular and pulmonary physical therapy through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Clinically trained in intensive care physical therapy, she brings a depth of expertise in the management of critically ill patients. In 2024, she received the Education Innovator Award from the Physical Therapy Learning Institute in recognition of her work in developing a management reasoning framework in acute care for physical therapy education.
Dr. Kargela is dedicated to advancing clinical reasoning, interprofessional collaboration, and evidence-informed care in complex acute care environments.
