Dr. MD Laird is an associate professor of management in the Heider College of Business at Creighton University. In addition to earning graduate degrees in human resource management (i.e., MS, Texas A&M University; PhD, Florida State University), Dr. Laird has worked in HR for a large non-profit and a major corporation. She now studies individual differences and stress, publishes in journals including Human Resource Management Review, Journal of Occupational Health Psychology, and Journal of Management, and serves as an associate editor for Organization Management Journal. Because of her work experience and research, Dr. Laird enjoys teaching “the people side of business” in classes on organizational behavior, human resource management, and recruitment and selection. Dr. Laird loves spending time with her husband (Jim), daughter (Julie), and two incorrigible cats (Polly and Gracie).
