Ann M . Laughlin, PhD, RN, FAAN

Professor

Nursing

Ann Laughlin received her Bachelor of Science degree from Creighton in 1976 and
a Masters of Science degree in 1994. From 1990 to 1994, while attending graduate
school, she functioned as a part time clinical teaching assistant, primarily in the area of
medical-surgical nursing with a focus on gerontology. Since that time, she has taught all
levels of students from undergraduate to graduate and has also supervised students in various
clinical areas from a nursing home setting to a hospital setting. Clinical responsibilities have
varied and she has taught everything from “basic nursing skills” to more advanced care.
Most recent teaching endeavors have focused on developing an interprofessional course for
both graduate and undergraduate level students across disciplines at the free health care clinic
established and managed by Creighton University faculty and students.
