Kyuchul Oh, DDS, PhD

Assistant Professor

Dr. Oh (Kure) obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree as the salutatorian from Tokyo Medical and Dental University School of Dentistry, a national dental school in Japan. He then earned his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Periodontology from the same university through an accelerated program, completing it in three years instead of the traditional four. During his time in Japan, Dr. Oh received several awards, scholarships, and research grants in recognition of his academic and research achievements.
Following his doctoral studies, Dr. Oh completed the preceptorship program in periodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Dentistry. He subsequently graduated from the advanced education postgraduate program in Periodontics at the same institution in June 2025. He also obtained his Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) then.
Dr. Oh has published research in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals and contributed to book chapters. He has presented his work at several academic meetings, including the 106th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), where he received the Straumann Japan Best Poster Award.
He currently serves as an Assistant Professor and Surgical Implant Coordinator at Creighton University School of Dentistry.
