

Dr. Yongyue Qi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at Creighton University. He earned his PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and his MS in Statistics from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Dr. Qi has expertise in research design, quantitative data analysis, psychometrics, and program assessment. He teaches critical analysis of occupational therapy practice within the Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program.
Dr. Qi's research focuses on evidence-based practice, occupational therapy interventions for type 1 diabetes self-management and support, educational outcomes, and the application of research methods to advance occupational therapy practice and education. His scholarly work emphasizes translating evidence into clinical practice and improving health professions education through rigorous research and program evaluation.
As the statistician for the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions, Dr. Qi collaborates with faculty, clinicians, and student researchers across multiple disciplines to provide consultation on study design, data management, statistical analysis, psychometrics, and dissemination of research findings. Through these collaborations, he supports the development of high-quality, evidence-based research that advances clinical practice, education, and patient outcomes.
