His work spans multiple markets and disciplines, with leadership experience restoring homes, museums, schools, and churches in Omaha, Phoenix, and New York City.

A graduate of The Heider College of Business, Blake founded Blackboard Design | Build during his undergraduate years, a firm which specialized in the renovation and restoration of historic residential properties. As Heider Business Senate President, he also played a pivotal role in developing Real Estate Principles & Practices (FIN 331), a course that has since been completed by hundreds of students.

Blake went on to earn a Master of Real Estate Development from Arizona State University, where he contributed to the repositioning and disposition of distressed assets during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2023, he returned to Creighton University as an adjunct, bringing his industry experience to the classroom. He teaches Real Estate Finance & Development (FIN 433), a course that emphasizes the financial frameworks and cross-disciplinary collaboration central to successful development projects. While based in New York City, where he leads complex restoration and construction efforts, Blake commutes weekly during the spring semester to mentor and inspire the next generation of real estate professionals.
