A new collaboration among Creighton, Rockhurst and Regis Universities will expand access to graduate education in speech-language pathology, offering students multiple pathways to pursue a Master of Science in speech-language pathology (MS-SLP) beginning in fall 2025.
The partnership reflects a shared Jesuit mission to prepare compassionate, service-minded health professionals who meet critical workforce needs while advancing person-centered care.
Through the new program structure, students may complete Rockhurst’s MS-SLP degree while training at one of four campus locations, including Creighton’s Omaha and Phoenix campuses, Regis University in Denver and Rockhurst University in Kansas City.
Each site offers in-person labs and clinics paired with synchronous online coursework, allowing students to access Rockhurst’s nationally recognized curriculum while benefiting from the facilities, resources and mentorship available at their local Jesuit institution.
All students, regardless of location, will complete in-person, competency-based labs and training on their respective campuses. Weekly synchronous classes will connect learners with Rockhurst faculty and classmates across all sites.
Students will also complete clinical experiences through Rockhurst’s network of community-based partners in a range of practice settings, preparing them to serve diverse populations with integrity and empathy.
For students entering the field from other academic backgrounds, Rockhurst offers a post-bachelor’s leveling program. This fully online option allows students to complete prerequisite coursework in two semesters, making them eligible to apply for the MS-SLP program.
The multi-campus collaboration among Creighton, Rockhurst and Regis underscores the strength of the Jesuit higher education network, creating new pathways for students to pursue professional excellence in health sciences while living out the Jesuit tradition of service to others.
Together, the institutions are expanding access to programs that form ethical, compassionate and highly skilled healthcare leaders — professionals ready to make a difference in communities across the nation.
