

In 2025, during Holy Week, Creighton President the Rev. Daniel S. Hendrickson, SJ, PhD, visited refugee camps in Kenya and Malawi to meet with student entrepreneurs who are part of a grant program called CreightonSpark.
Through stories of hope held by men and women who maintained hope for the future despite losing almost everything, Fr. Hendrickson shares an Easter reflection about how embracing the promise of hope and that better days are always possible.
"A Jesuit mentor reminded me many years ago that neither Good Friday nor Easter Sunday stands alone. Together, they are one story. In our Christian faith, despair, defeat and death are followed by healing, hope and new life."
