Every fall, a new class of Bluejays begins their Creighton journey. This year, they’re arriving in record numbers—the largest freshman class in our history. Approximately 1,250 students are bringing exceptional academic records, big ambitions and a shared commitment to making a difference.

An Exceptional Class

The Class of 2029 arrives with impressive academic achievements:

  • 37% ranked in the top 10% of their high school class
  • Nearly 50% graduated with a 4.0 GPA or higher
  • 54% plan to pursue professional programs after graduation

Beyond the numbers, these students bring diverse interests and a drive to serve, qualities that align with Creighton’s mission of forming leaders committed to excellence and service.

A Nationwide Reach

Creighton’s newest Bluejays are joining us from across the country, with 36% traveling more than 400 miles to call Omaha home. While Nebraska leads the way with 294 students (23% of the class), Minnesota follows with 188 (15%). Other notable states sending more than 50 students each include Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri and Hawaii.

The Start of Something Big

Welcome Week will mark the beginning of their Creighton journey as students settle into residence halls, meet their classmates and participate in traditions that build connection and community from day one.

For these new Bluejays the next four years will be filled with discovery and opportunity. And for the University, their arrival marks another milestone in a proud tradition of shaping leaders who will go on to make an impact in their professions, their communities and the world.
