The Integrated Biomedical Imaging Facility (IBIF) at Creighton University is a core facility focused on providing investigators with access to state-of-the art imaging techniques in light microscopy that are critical to collecting data for experiments in the biomedical, chemical, and materials sciences. Although based in Omaha, we are happy to connect with investigators outside of Creighton University and the Omaha area to discuss your needs and interests in light microscopy. Our facility is supported through funding from Creighton University’s School of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health, as well as through user fees.

We offer the opportunity to perform a vast array of experiments that rely on imaging samples with fluorescence and visible light microscopy techniques. A partial listing of our capabilities is provided below:
Please remember to acknowledge IBIF and refer to our RRID in your publications. We recommend that you use the following statement to acknowledge IBIF:
This research was partially conducted at the Integrated Biomedical Imaging Facility at Creighton University, Omaha, NE (RRID:SCR_023806). This facility is supported by the Creighton University School of Medicine and grants GM103427 and GM139762 from the National Institute of General Medical Science (NIGMS), a component of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This investigation is solely the responsibility of the authors and does not necessarily represent the official views of NIGMS or NIH.
IBIF has the Research Resource ID: RRID:SCR_023806. Please include this number when acknowledging work completed at IBIF. An RRID works similar to an ORC-ID and assists us in tracking research performed at IBIF.
Creighton University is a member of the Great Plains IDeA-CTR, making IBIF a part of NIH’s IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence. Researchers affiliated with the IDeA network are encouraged to contact us with their questions about our services for IDeA network members. IBIF is also a partner in the Nebraska Imaging Core Facility with the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
IBIF is supported financially by the Creighton University School of Medicine, the Nebraska INBRE program, and by user fees. The facility is located on Creighton’s Omaha campus in the Dr. C.C. and Mabel L. Criss Health Sciences Complex II and III.
