Educational Opportunity Center

About EOC

The Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) is a federally funded TRIO Program aimed at helping adults aged 19 and older, particularly those who are first-generation and/or low income, gain access to education, career resources, and financial literacy. These centers provide free services including counseling and information on college admissions, to qualified adults who wish to enter or continue a postsecondary education program.

Additionally, the program provides GED preparation and classes for participants without a high school diploma, assistance with completing college admission and financial aid applications, education to improve financial and economic literacy, and individualized academic and career counseling. Ultimately, the goal of the EOC program is to increase the number of adult participants enrolling in postsecondary institutions.
