At Creighton University, we want the recruitment and onboarding process to be an exceptional experience for new employees. Once you’ve been selected to continue in the recruitment process, you’ll be asked to take additional steps before you can become a full-fledged Bluejay. These next steps are listed below and require you to submit additional application information.

Your Next Steps

You must complete an I-9 form at least three business days after your start date, no later.

  1. Complete the Online I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification, using Creighton’s code: 12603.
  2. Schedule an appointment with Human Resources within 10 days of submitting your I-9.

If you will be working remotely, email Human Resources or call them at 402.280.2709 to arrange for verification.

Frequently Asked Questions

A 90-day orientation period applies to all new, re-hired and transferring employees to learn and absorb their new positions. Supervisors and employees are expected to meet periodically throughout the orientation period to discuss the employee’s progress.

New Hires are encouraged to review the Parking website for detailed information regarding parking options on the Omaha and Phoenix campuses.

  • Omaha Campus: New Hires on the Omaha Campus will receive a one-week parking permit from Human Resources during their I-9 appointment. To continue parking on campus after that time, a permit must be purchased through the JayPark portal.
  • Phoenix Campus: Faculty, staff, and students can purchase garage parking in the Catalina Parking Garage on a first come, first served basis through the JayPark portal.

When you become an employee at Creighton University, you will be assigned a NetID. Your NetID is the account username that goes with your BLUE password. It will consist of three letters and five numbers, and cannot be changed. Your NetID provides access to the majority of Creighton's technology systems, including CUmail, BlueLine, and NEST. You will receive your Net ID and activation instructions to your personal email. In addition, your manager will receive your Net ID information and will forward it to you. Rehires or anyone previously associated with Creighton must reactivate their NetID through AMI.
