The Creighton School of Medicine Surgery Research Fellowship is a transformative opportunity for residents who wish to dedicate a full year to advancing their research goals. This fellowship is open to surgical residents who have completed their PGY-2 or PGY-3 year and offers a structured, immersive research experience.

Dillon Wade
Dillon Wade is a PGY-4 general surgery resident who is our current research fellow. Dillon completed medical school at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, AR and joined Creighton University general surgery residency in 2022. Research interests include evaluation of rural surgery outcomes, rural surgery disparities, and trauma systems. Dillon is currently enrolled in the Creighton University Masters of Health Outcomes Research Certificate program and will complete this throughout the research year. Some of Dillon's hobbies include spending time outside gardening, hosting dinner events with the residents, and spending time with his animals and fiancé Emily.
