Whether you need to see a healthcare provider for a routine wellness visit or something more serious, Creighton has partnered with CHI Health to provide quality, convenient healthcare for students in Omaha. This comprehensive medical center is located just one block north of campus. Additional nearby or on-campus options include a pharmacy, non-emergency after-hours care, physical therapy and more.
This full-service clinic provides primary and specialty care, including women’s health, endocrinology, cardiology and neurology. Walk-in, same-day and by-appointment visits are available, and a 24/7 emergency department is ready if you need it. The clinic is within walking distance of campus. It’s also accessible via Creighton’s Shuttle Services.
All services will be billed to your health insurance, so be sure to bring your insurance card. CHI Health sets its own fee schedule for services; your health insurance plan will determine if payment needs to be collected at the time of the visit.

Campus Health Aides (CHAs) are available to help with non-emergency health needs after-hours. They can provide first aid and temporary after-hours medical relief for the acute health needs of students at their locations on campus. CHAs are available on Monday through Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 8 a.m. and continuously on the weekends, from Friday at 4:30 p.m. until Monday at 8 a.m. All care provided and medication dispensed is under the directions of the on-call CHI Health Student Care Clinic medical provider.
CHA support is provided with no charge to students. To request a CHA, call Public Safety at 402.280.2104 or notify your RA. In the event of an emergency, call Public Safety at 402.280.2911.
If you need help getting connected to primary care providers, specialty providers, physical therapy services, home health care providers, pharmacy providers and other healthcare needs, Creighton can help. Our care coordination and healthcare navigation services are available to assist all students, including those who are acutely ill or those living with chronic illness. This free, confidential resource can be accessed in person at the Kiewit Fitness Center #225 or by calling 402.280.2735 (select option 3). You can also email the student health team. Whether a student is managing celiac disease, diabetes, a food intolerance, or simply trying to eat vegetarian or vegan, our dietitian offers personalized guidance to help them make informed choices in the dining halls. From one-on-one consultations to dining hall tours and healthy lifestyle tips, support is available to meet students' nutritional needs.
The Creighton University Campus Pharmacy is a convenient resource for prescription and over-the-counter needs. This pharmacy is located at 2412 Cuming St, Suite 201—just across the hall from the CHI Student Care Clinic—and is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. For general questions or to transfer a prescription, call the pharmacy at 402.449.4560. The Creighton University Campus Pharmacy will deliver most prescriptions to the Creighton campus.
Additional pharmacies include Walgreens pharmacy at 3001 Dodge St. (approximately 0.6 miles west of campus) and CVS located at 4840 Dodge St. (approximately 2.5 miles west of campus).

This medical power of attorney form, which must be signed by a parent or guardian and notarized, allows students who are 18 and younger to give consent for their own health care. Those who choose to complete this form should do the following:
To request a release of your health or immunization records to another healthcare provider, other entity, or to yourself, you must fill out this release of information form. The form must also be completed for our staff to communicate with other Creighton University employees.
