Magis in Milwaukee, WI

Brewing Community in Milwaukee

Known for lakefront views, summer festivals, historic neighborhoods, and legendary cheese curds, Milwaukee offers a vibrant backdrop for community life and Catholic education. The Milwaukee Magis Community launched in 2015 with Cohort 14 in response to invitations from local superintendents and school leaders seeking mission-driven educators. Magis teachers live together in a wonderful home, creating a strong sense of shared life while serving schools across the greater Milwaukee area.

Magis teachers have served at Dominican High School, Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, Notre Dame School of Milwaukee, St. Anthony High School, and many schools in the Seton Catholic School network, with many alumni continuing to teach across region. Outside of school, the Milwaukee Magis community embraces the city’s culture: walking along Lake Michigan, attending Brewers and Bucks games, participating in neighborhood festivals, exploring local restaurants and breweries, and engaging in young adult faith communities throughout the archdiocese.
