Creighton University students, faculty and staff in Omaha can use their Creighton JayCard ID to ride any Metro Transit or ORBT bus for free. This unique collaboration between Creighton and Metro Transit is called JayPass, and it’s both an economical and sustainable option for traveling to and from campus and other points in the metro area. Read details about using JayPass and routes around Omaha below.
If you’re a current Creighton faculty or staff member or a student actively taking classes, your JayCard is already activated as your JayPass. Just get on the bus, swipe your card in the terminal labeled UMO and ride. Note that JayPass privileges are granted to only the student, faculty or staff member pictured on the JayCard ID.
Whether you live near campus or have a longer commute, the bus can get you to campus. There are multiple convenient bus stops that intersect with (or are within a few blocks of) Creighton's Omaha campus. These stops correspond with routes 4, 13, 18, 24 and 30.
We also recommend using MyRide OMA to track a bus in real time, plan trips and check any news or alerts about routes or service. You can even receive notifications about your specific routes or bus stops. MyRide OMA is available as an app, or it can be used through a web browser or through SMS alerts.
